Thanks Keith.

I have pretty much completed the two level demo I will release soon. I would appreciate if folks could test it out and let me know how it performs on their system. Also any suggestions on making game play better.

What you have to do is kill all the frogs on the first level and find the key to the stables. Go in the stable door and you will be brought to the next level. Find the key there then find your way upstairs to the door that has a general store sign. When you enter that door you will complete the demo.

If you are running this on vista please run as administrator or you may get an error due to fps pack pro.

Here is the link to the demo download:
http://www.truesourceshop.com/fso/demo/fso.zip

Thanks folks

Dennis,

Contact me about getting into the BOTB (using the requirements I've laid out in the BOTB thread).

Additionally; I'd like to offer you a free copy of my WWII Pack for FPSC, as my style of textures for that pack seem to match yours. You can use some of the non-WWII specific items for further development of Froggy Shooter. Contact me with a valid address to send it to, if you'd like it.

Thanks Keith the pack is great!

Thanks 4125. Glad you liked it. You got between 22 and 30? Can you tell me your system specs? processor, memory, and video card?

Right now I have the requirements for this game set at 2 ghz dual core, 2 gb ram, and 256 mb video memory. Does that sound about right for this game? That is the specs I have on my laptop and get 30 - 37 fps.

I think this game would be awesome for young children if blood was removed, it has that nice innocent ideology that kids like. Big western frogs having gunfights......

I'm serious mate, this would be popular with young children, a possible market, perhaps?

That's why I made the blood green, so it is not so gory looking. My 9 and 10 year old nephews love the game. You think the green blood is still too gory?

Will you just have a revolver the whole time or will you be able to get a shotgun later?

This looks pretty awesome.....

I think green blood is acceptable. Did you know there's a law in Germany that bans red blood? Most games have green blood over there, the Germa version of FPSC already has green blood splats.....

Thanks folks! I am honored and humbled to get the award. And the community feeling I deserve it means as much as the award itself. I work very hard on this game and I feel proud of this recognition. I promise to make the final game even better than the demo. I work on it for several hours everyday.

The blacksmith shop has been closed due to order of the frog sheriff! The blacksmith shop level will not be featured in this game. I will spend the rest of the time until december building the jail, expanding the levels, and enhancing game play.

very good work done and great that you won the botb award, its probably something i never will, tho i saw your jail movie and they seem to have a very bad AI,you should check it out a bit and make some scales on player hands, you can easily see that they are normal painted green, otherwise great work on custom rigging and models

Thanks. Yeah I am having very much trouble with the melee ai. I need to figure out what I am gonna do about it. And the scripts wont read my animations correctly for some reason. I don't understand why, all my animations are numbered correctly, I checked and double checked and checked again

The hands will probably get more work too.

Attached is the credits movie that will play at the end.

Dennis Congrats on you award, and this game looks fantastic i have a few questions
1) will there be cutscenes your a great animater

and my only suggestion is for the town use a more uniqe cleaner skybox, like maybe a nice cloudy /sunny day type skybox.

PS: do you need any help with this game?

Yes there will be cut scenes, i still have a lot of work to do.

I improved the ai on the basement frog monsters. I put the zombie doctor skeleton in him and used the zombie doctor script.

Here's the movie:

Looks good; careful not to shoot those explosive crates, or you'll blow the both of you up.
