Welcome back, Oleg! Or maybe I should say Strelok, I forget that you changed your nick.

Anyways, the most recent model is really awesome! Looking forward to seeing it textured.

Thanks a lot guys , it's nice to hear that you like them.

Roger Wilco and Deathead thanks guys , it's cool that you still remembered me

Fruitless CRUNK , thanks for the score man.. never taught it was so good.

Bendak11 thanks , well we still don't know.. hoping to get them ASAP on the store.

Noob101 , I'm using cinema 4D for modeling it's really easy but isn't really made for game industry. And for textures I'm using the old good photoshop.

Anyway here the update of the gun , still working on the texture.

Cheers ,

Strelok.

@Strelok: Of course I remember you and your unique design, I was and still am envious of it. Darn you, lol.

I really like the texture work on the new gun, I must save some bucks so that I can buy these when they get into the store!

Excellent work guys!

Do you have an ETA on the release date?

They are looking really excellent, if theres one thing FPSC is desperately lacking its a selection of high quality Scifi weapons.

I'm fed up of seeing berettas, glocks and M16s, this is really fresh.

Only crit would be a little one (and not really related to the guns in FPSC), but in your renders the normal mapping is a little too heavy. On the latest gun even the text on the radioactive DANGER sticker is bump mapped! It kind of looks like you've just used a dot3 filter on the diffuse without changing it to account for flat areas of the gun (that don't bump), as I said, it's not something that will affect the guns in FPSC, but perhaps something to think of in x10.

as you can see from the gears gun, the rust on the saw mechanism isn't bump mapped, but the grip is.

Anyway. Not to be on a downer, they look flipeaking* excellent just thought someone should try and find something to criticise!

flipeaking (adjective), meaning both "flipping" and "Freaking" used when you lose the ability to differentiate between words due to excitement.

Excellent point Butters.

In contrast I would add that text is never painted on a weapon. Because of the amount of wear and cleaning that occurs, text is etched directly into the parts of a weapon, so it would make sense for it to be bump mapped. The difference being, text is rarely, if ever, raised. It's usually indented. All that being said, when it comes to scifi, all bets are off. Scifi is about new ways of doing things, and new looking things.

I would like to see something for close up work, perhaps like the guantlet for Q3, some sort weapon for close up work, like a chainsaw or circular saw or something, just something that does major damage when up close and your in someones face.

Thanks again guys , we appreciating your comments .. you making our work a lot easier !

Butters , Well I kind of thinking of creating better hands for them.. more sci fi you know. Just that they will fit in the style of the weapons.
So my part of the job still need to be done before Tommie can start on the Animation . It's going take a while before we release
at last one of the guns because we really want to get them online at the same time. So people will have a massive choice in the begin.

LoL I guess i really screwed it with that danger sign , doesn't matter it will be easy to edit.
The normal map thing sounds really interesting , I will edit my old weapon and I will post some shots.
Thanks a lot of for great comment ,I appreciate it , you really got a eye for details.

Uthink , Yea i think you right ..
I really like to work on the sci fi weapons or characters... because I don't have limits there , I can do what I want .

fallen one , Excellent idea ! I think i will go for somethings complex.. really complex.

Rise and shine Fpsc x10...rise and shine.
