Bob the Eye is an TPS about an Eye named Bob(you never would of guessed, right?). He is able to shoot lasers from his eye that are so fast, you can't see them. The download contains an installer for the demo. This is a render of Bob.

so...is there any objective to the game? what do you do to win and such? you never really explained the point of the game.

I seem to recognise most of this from ruccus's fps tutorial. Not that this is a bad thing it just might need a bit more work before people can really get interested.

I changed it to say TPS, and I still am going to be working for a while, as most of those are just debugging models. Most of the engine is done, but I still want to do more. By the way, it's similar to ruccus's tutorial, but I use DBC. By the way, there will be more objectives, but right now it's just kill the enemy. I'm going to look at TDK's particle tutorial for a while, so I can add better death effects.

suggestion: your in-game shot 'bob' needs a better texture resolution. i dont know what your screen resolution/texture resolution/uv scaling is, but the pixelated texture would get kind of annoying. just my thought

Homey, the pixely is probably because of the fact that the image is saved as JPG. JPG files tend to make your images look bad.

In my opinion, you should generate yourself a bump or normal map for bob.

Not unless you compress it (anything over 10 or 20% is awful), and it in no way reduces the resolution.

You should Spec and Bump that eye to make it look more realistic, maybe with a like 512 map size? It looks like your using 128...or worse.

I used Paint to save it. Paint JPG's always screw up the images.

Yeah, get GIMP or if you have Photoshop use that and save the files as PNG's for the internet. But if you were saying the texture is a JPEG then just never do that again and save it as a TARGA (.TGA).

BTW, I say GIMP or Photoshop because for some reason they seem to save better for me than paint does.

No, the screenshot was JPEG. I did that because I had a slow computer and didn't want a big file size, so I used JPEG. I got a faster one, so the next screen will be PNG.

EDIT: I am temporarily postponing this because of Spore coming out.

EDIT: I'm done with spore, but DarkBASIC is acting strange. Whenever I run anything, it acts like I typed nothing.

EDIT: Also, has anyone realized how his name is similar to mine yet?that was on purpose.
