right click go down to speed and make it less than 100
medium=50
slow=20 to 30

Only the frame is a segment. The door is an entity. Right click on the door and do as Mazz426 said above.

Yes. When you place the segment, right click on the door via entity mode, press delete, then place a static entity of your door where the frame is.

The above method, however... Will disable the door from opening.

Indeed it will. You could re-script the door so it plays only the first few frames, meaning you could make a propped opening door.
