A step by step guide on how to migrate model packs to X10 and how to fix known bugs.

Step one
Is to download the following software.
FPSC segment creator found under downloads on the main page.
Wetham's Entity creator

Step two
Install all model packs into any directory except in the FPSC folder
for vista my documents is the best folder to install the model packs.Right click and remove the read only tick from the Box.(Don't forget!!!!)

Before you can copy and paste to the FPSCX10 folder some things need to be fixed first.
Model packs 3 Segments
MP3 has a problem with the outer wall not being positioned correctly. To date the only fix I have found for it is to fire up TGC FPSC segment creator instead of making a new segment you will be opening one of the WWII segments. In order to do so you need to copy the segment texturebank and meshbank form the FPSC folder into the TGC FPSC folder make sure to copy and replace all files.

As a note TGC FPSC segment creator doesn't always work in Vista so you will be needing Windows XP to do this.

First step is to open a segment in other words open a segment that has already been made.Search for the closest segment that looks like the MP3 segments one of the WWII segments.Warning using Scfi segments will results in errors or crash because having shaders applied to the segment, so you will need a segment that does not have shaders applied.

Once you have opened a room segment from WWII the segment will be loaded into the display area replace all textures as per example the workshop low blue.Click on a segment let say the inner wall and replace with the workshop low blue texture.

Do the same with all the meshes that require that texture don't forget that the inner meshes all have corners and that has to be replaced as well, you might have to click a few times to have them selected as they overlap with the other meshes once you have replaced all the other textures you can apply shaders if you made normal and or spec maps for the textures be sure that these textures have been copied to the correct directory and are infact in the TGC FPSC segment directory aswell.

Now don't change any thing else except if you have applied shader is to recalculate visibility.Go to file and select save as, go to the MP3 folder where the room segments are located and replace the
the room segment you have just created don't forget to add the .fps at the end of the file name or else it won't work.

The other problem was the platforms of MP3 the one segment where the stairs attach to segment.A painless little fix is to open the FPS file and edit the position of the segment and test till you get it right(don't know off hand the right height will post a bit later)Don't forget to do the same for each mesh found in the FPS file.

As for entities of MP it is a really simple fix any one can do it.The problem is that the engine reads the file and finds no reference to what texture to use.

All you have to do is add this line.

And replace the root with where the texture can be found.
Easy as that !!

MP5
The scaling needs to be adjusted in the FPE file.

MP4
Works fine as far as I know

MP6
It's a little more complicated. You might have to wait till the official release is made.Or till I or someone else has a fix.

Should you bugger FPSC it's your own fault if it was due to my error I'll help you fix it

Well if you model has been fully texture mapped I don't see any problems..
