well, as you might know, caligari is giving truespace for free, so i highly recommend that, or if you wanna stick to the 'lower poly' kind, then use milkshape.
and as henry said use entity workshop to coat it with a texture, or 'UV map' it.

Try milkshape, sketchup, or 3ds max those are good, but what ever you do don't ever touch Anim8or or Blender

[sarcasm]Yes, don't use anything that's actually not that bad, let alone free.[/sarcasm]

Oh come on what is with you? Don't project your own inability to learn something on other people, just because you don't want to know and probably CAN'T (Even though both are amazingly easy to learn) even learn them doesn't mean that other people can't.

There is nothing wrong with anim8or or Blender, I've used both, and infact, know both very good, and I can tell you that both are very capable softwares for making media. And the fact that Blender probably has most features of any of the low price modeling alternatives makes it even better, and Anim8or is, even though some people say that it's more to the newer people of the community, also a very good software.

And besides, it's never about the software you use to create something, it's just about the motivation and the skill that you have that will even matter, as, for example, if you were an artist and were stranded on a desert island, would you be able to create art with just sand? Or another one, just because I don't have the best pan in the world doesn't mean that I can't cook because of it, right?

I've seen people do things in MS Paint for crying out loud, that's a million times better than what I could ever do in Photoshop.

I mean, just because you as a person don't like anything, does that mean that everyone else HAS to not like what you like? I mean come on, that's just being ignorant. Don't try to force people to believe what you believe.
People should have their own thoughts about things, not what other people try to project into them.

Please think a little...

You should take a look at the Anim8or website; it's got some useful links and I belive there's an .X exporter on one site, which I'm using, but unfortunatley I don't remember which one right now.

Best.
