Why am I posting this in 3D Chat? Not sure... Couldn't find any other really appropriate forum I guess. Whatever, I hope it isn't the wrong board.

Okay, first of all, I bet most on this forum knows me by now and I have never ever used FPSC and I never really plan to use it for a game, as, well honestly I don't think you can make anything really impressive from it (Don't like flame me from saying that, just saying my personal opinion) and I am planning on doing some models for it and see if I can get them in the TGC Store, why you ask?
Well I thought that it would be interesting to do and I might earn some cash for it, and as I am short on cash at the moment I thought it would be kind of useful to use the TGC Store and see if I get anything as I have several family birthdays coming up.
Okay so, I have a few questions, and bare in mind, these questions will probably seem stupid to anyone who knows a bit about FPSC but as I don't, I guess I would be allowed to ask these questions.

Question number 1!
Does FPSC support larger maps than 512x512 (say 1024 maps) or does it just shrink everything down to 512 maps?

Number 2:
Does it support normal maps(X9)? If so, how in heck do you make it possible?

Number 3:
Does it support multiple maps for one object (I doubt I will have use for that even if it's possible, but it's worth asking) ?

Number 4:
What would be a fine poly count for a nice building? Is 500 faces too much?

These are the only ones I need to know at the moment. I would be very grateful if anyone who knows the answers to these would be kind enough to at least answer one of them Would mean the world to me at the moment.

So yeah.

Awesome.

I don't have FPSC, but I had to do some research about #3 for MISoft's Redemption 9mm project. FPSC does support multiple textures per object, but only for "dynamic" objects. If you want to use it as a "static" object, you have to set a dynamic object's "IsImmobile" flag to 1 and it should work fine.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, like they should be.

Question number 1.

Lol, epic failure. Anyways, I'm pretty sure people generally make their models 1024x1024. It doesn't automatically shrink the texture to 512x512.

Question number 2.

I think it supports normal maps. I don't do any modeling myself but I do believe it supports normal maps. No idea how to do it though lol.

Question number 3.

Venge was right on with that one.

Question number 4.

No idea lol.

Also, this would've been fine in FPSC chat. You probably should have a mod move it there, that way you'll have people that have FPSC respond to this thread.

He meant Texture maps (Textures) not Levels. And i think you can have any size Texture.

Haha, ya I was confused when I was reading that. I saw the 512x512 and 1024x1024 and for some reason what made me think was... "Hey, maps are measured with the same dimensions as textures." Lol, I don't know why it didn't click.
