Quote: "1. Source (Scene Modeling such as Daz, or Maya. Or game FPSC)
2. Audio (You need to record your voice-work and soundtrack)
3. Lip-sync (Some Source packages have it, other need 3rd party)
4. Video Editor
As for me, I use....
1. Poser 7 / FPSC X10 (X10 has a camera fly mode)
2. Sonar 7 Producer
3. Poser 7 with Talk Designer Expansion Kit
4. Final Cut Express HD"
lol, I dont use poser and the stuff you're using, 3dsmax and stuff for me...
also here are some of my tips...
1) dont use Wmm, its basic and anyone from 1000 miles away can tell that it was made in wmm, at least get sony vegas or somthing to do you're stuff...
2) top tools to use.
-
Sony vegas
-
Adobe after effects.
-
Adobe photoshop(yes you can use photoshop for stuff such as colour definition, I use it all the time.)
-
WaX(quite hard actualy? lol.)
and
-
virtual dub.(I use it for cs source, but you can load up lots of images what are images of one frame, I dunno 1000 of them all in order and it'll put them in and compile it into a movie, for example if you have 200 frames, it'll put it all toghtether and you'll have 200 frames of video in avi instead of jpeg's or tga's or png's ect. also it'll be higher quality instead of using fraps.)
I actualy own probaly most of these(lol, aint got Ae yet
)
Wax and vdub are free. sony vegas is probaly 750 dollars or so depending on which version (i suggest 7! its the best.)
and ae is probaly like photoshop, a couple thousand( cs3 extended is 1000 dollars, ae might be 1000 dollars too.)
and photoshop is 1000 dollars if you get cs3 extneded, which I highly recommend.
3)
recording tools!!!
-fraps.(get the full version for petes sake, you dont want a overlay.)
-gamecam(that has a overlay? right?)
-hypercam2.
-camstudio(often misses one or two frames every 30 seconds, you probaly wont notice it that much, and it has a swf/avi export aswell as a movie viewer, and its open source!)
well thats enough for now... might continue on later with more.
