Is there anywhere i can download some freeware level maps ? Im new to programming and not much of a graphic artist I dont intend to make something for sale I just want to nut out Dark GDK.
Anything i make with freeware I will distribute as freeware giving full regognition to the artist (this is only fair).
I only need this to get started

If it can be missunderstood or messed up i can stuff it up even more!

Try this page. I'm not sure how many of them are actually level maps. You're probably better off learning some basic modelling skills to make simple hallways, rooms, etc. That way you can make whatever you need.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, like they should be.

no lazerus not any idea really ive been trying to get a starting point to learn with. Any one that wants it can play around with this one. Ive spent the last two days drawing it. Im having trouble with it when i export it to .dbo but the image is completely free to use though the furnature does not touch the floor in some places its just a rough draft feel free to use it play with it and change it as you will

Actually some zombie characters, ninjas or sodliers Would be usefull ive nutted out a basic level map (sort of having huge issues), I just need to nut out collisions, characters, and AI then i can concentrate on shooting, noises and such. Before anyone says it this is not for the demo comp its far too early for me to be doing things like that
Thanks for your post lazarus

As far as I know .stf files are the kind of file that they are so that nobody could use those specific textures outside of 3DWS; however that is not the only format 3DWS uses. You can make .bmp, .png, .jpg etc files and they will import fine into 3DWS (though I would always discourage making .jpg files for use as textures because of this format's compression and loss).

Remember those old guys? They made epic renders, I think one of them was called DaVinci, and all they used was MS Paint. Sometimes it's just skill....

That's because they're not a square number size (512x512, 1025x1024) etc

???
