I was just wondering, is there any way to change the
Icon used by the .exe file Dark Basic creates? That
shiny metal?/glass? thingy is nice and all but I'd
like to put my own icon on my work with out having
to create a shortcut that has a differnt Icon.

Having a shortcut isn't really changing the .exe
icon at all so it's no good for what I need.

(Hope this question isn't to stupid )

Right, there are two ways:
Use IconChanger to change it, which is an approved method, or use a Resource Hacker to change it. This takes a bit of know how, and it might not be approved....

I always change the icon on my compiled .exe's. But is it legal to distribute the game/app with another icon?

Where do I get it?
How much does it cost?

I used to use iconforge myself an I don't think DBS care since they linked it from their old webpage (I'm pretty sure the did anyways).

Well its your program anyway. You own it. You hold the copyrights. You can do what you want with it (hack into it, crack serial codes etc).

i have the iconchanger software but it is a *.prc file i have never heard of one of them before and it doesn't work, has any one got the exe they could email me?

I use a program called Resource Hacker. It's also good for modding windows (Ex: explorer.exe).
