Okay, I figured I'd start a thread to showcase some of the modles I've been playing with. I've just gotten 3DS max a few days ago, and I've been trying things out and making a few simple models. Let me know what you think!

The first pic is attached.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that it's a work in progress. That's just the start. Also, that's not the neon effect. I used a different technique.

Here's a wine glass and a coffee mug I just threw together in about three minutes.

A different point of view.

A different view:

Right now, I'm mainly doing simple objects, but I'm starting to get better. I'm going to start modeling an old hunting rifle next.

Thanks for the compliment. Is there anything you would change? Any constructive criticism?
The rifle is taking longer than I expected. this is mainly because I was a total Noob-a-zoid when I started it, so what I already have done is horrible. I'll likely be re-doing the whole thing.
In the mean time, here is a barrel I just did.
This one has no lid, 340 polys, and the texture is 256 x 256. The reason that the lid-less one has more polys is that I had to make polys for the inside, too. Normally its just empty on the inside, this one has polys on the inside so that you can see inside it.

Then this one has 402 polys with the same sized texture.

How do you like them?

Hey there folks! Here's a treasure chest I just did. It has approximately 144 polys, and the texture is 512 x 512. you like? yes? no?

Here's a higher-quality barrel with a darker texture. It has 930 polys and the texture is 512 x 512.
if you want to download this model, go here and download the file attached my one post.

Here's a torch I did. The fire is just an effect in 3DS MAX, but its a simple, low-poly model. (it has 410 polys)

A better look at the torch by itself:
