Ok. I am going to create a game with a third person view. I was wondering how do i load a weapon onto a models hand? When I create the 3d model, do i have to make a tag/magnet on his hand and somehow make the gun go onto that tag/magnet? I am ready to start applying the bones to my character but I was wondering how to do this. Thanks.

Would anyone happen to know? I read that in FPSC it could be connected to a bone(preferably the hand bone) is there a way to do that in Dark GDK?

In Dark GDK, would this work to connect a gun to a limb(hand)

dbGlueObjectToLimb

If yes, how do I use it. I looked on the Dark GDK wiki page and saw that but unfortunatley no one had a page for that. If you know, I would really appreciate some information on how to use it. Thanks!

Barnicles. So I take it that you, Mahoney don't know about objects and limbs.

Well, I am playing around with it and I tried this. Someone game me a program called limbchecker and it numbers parts of the model.

Would anyone happen to know what I am doing wrong. Also, 31 is the number of the hand bone I want to glue the object to.

When you make your weapon model add a limb for the handle
Then you can Glue the weapon to the hand limb

I'm not sure if this is the right code for it but try

dbGlueObjectToLimb ( PlayerObject, HandLimb, WeaponObject );

Hope this helps, Good Luck
