I've noticed DBPro is compatible with 3DS models, but when i try to load any models in, it doesn't work!!!

What's wrong? how can i solve this?
And if it can't be solved, do you know any good converters for
conversing 3DS to .X format?

Some 3DS models work with P4.1, many don't. Certainly most that I have exported from MilkShape don't work.

Just use .X models to be safe. I cannot gurantee that this will be fixed in Patch 5 either.

i can't load anything cept DirectX ... i've tried, 3DS load but don't show, the Quake formats just crash DBP.
Doesn't matter what program i use or what exporters, they just don't work.

are you sure your not using p3.1 Ice hon?

Not all 3DS exporters produce exactly the same data apparently. Models exported from MilkShape for example don't work.

yeah but none of mine work...
Milkshape, trueSpace, Softimage XSI, Maya, 3DS Max 4 or 5, Houdini... i tried all of them.
when you load a 3DS all it does it load it and then hangs the program so you get a black screen, and only done this in p4.1

i would think the exporter for this format in Max would've been the most reliable to export working mesh right?

Deep Exploration works pretty well, although it does like to muck around with limb names for no apparant reason...

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

Try to type "3ds to x converter" with or without quotes to search engine you prefer, you should find a link to page with green-ish layout.

It depends on the modeller, a "JOINT" in MilkShape3D becomes a "limb" in DBPro.
