NOTE: Going through a title change. Didn't realize there was already a game called Dead Space. If anyone can think of a title, I'd like to hear your suggestion.
Quote: "You are Brian Graves, former lieutenant for the Allied Galactic Navy. After being dishonorably discharged due to war crimes you did not commit, you're being held at a remote government location awaiting trial. But, no one was prepared for an all-out attack on the facility by space pirates. You cease the opportunity and make your escape. Now it's time to prove your innocence to the government that wronged you, all while avoiding death at the hands of the space pirates. But, as Lt. Graves soon finds out, all isn't as it appears..."
After learning the ins and outs of FPSC over the past while, I've decided to finally start work on my first game. I'm still hammering out the details of the story, but I have the concept down, as well as a few maps designed and ready to be made.
I'm terrible at modeling and texturing, so as of right now, custom media is out of the question. I'll be borrowing heavily from Model Packs 9, 10 and 12, as well as using things found on FPS Free. I'm not aiming for a ton of detail--for me, it's all about the gameplay, and I want it to run at a decent framerate, even on low-end machines like mine.
Below are the title screen and work-in-progress screenshots. Tell me what you think.
