The entire 3d production was done in Blender and all workfiles are available as open source.

It is pretty amazing what people are doing with a free 3D Tool.

I've seen that before and I was quite shocked about the level of quality they've managed to achieve. I believe they're also making an open source game with some of the movie assets, should be interested to look into.

Big Buck Bunny is out yes its very good, also their game is out its called "Apricot"

Wow, I bet they saved a tonne out of production costs by not usign something like Max or Cinema 3D......

I saw this a while ago. Its good. Some of the rendering on the fur and grass can be a little off at times.
Also the film tries so hard to be "pixar" but never quite hits the mark.

For a free piece of kit however, I think the end result is pretty outstanding.
