Quite new to dark basic and was wanting to know more about using sparky's dll to walk up stairs. I'm trying to use this in a FPS so it'll mean moving the camera. Any help will be appreciated

Have you referred to the help files that come with Sparky's - they're excellent. If that doesn't help, post a reply here.

I have an idea that works in theory, I haven't used it yet though... Try making stairs in dark basic with CREATE OBJECT command, and turn off collision with these objects... Then make box that is rotated upwards, like on the image below... Set it to be invisible with HIDE OBJECT command. Now it is almost done, and all you have to do is to alter collision function to slide up and down...
I'm not sure if this works, but it is worth to try
