All the model packs out right now are outstanding. We've got everything ranging from medieval to modern. There are tons of modern weapons to choose from but no modern enemies.

I have seen high demand around the boards for modern soldiers to be incorporated into FPSC/FPSCX10. I think it would help many people dramatically, including myself, if TGC created a model pack for modern day soldiers.

I think that's a great idea! I'll help out the best that I can, but seeing as I'm not a great character modelist, I don't think the effects would matter much.

Don't we already have modern day soldiers? As in the ones in Model Pack Two?

You mean model pack 1.

I took a look outside, and Nickydude was pointing a pistol at my head.

Do really think that everyone using the same old tired models to be a good thing? There are what 70 total model character to choose from and these are 7 different themes. This is about 10 different characters per genre being used by 1000 people all creating games with the exact same models. Originality be damned. Heck, it is why I am paying out over $4000.00 dollars to get new model textures and models

Four grand is not that much if it's exclusive models. Valve probably pays their modellers even more for just a couple of models.

If he's spending that much I'm sure he's got some kind of plan.

Read my other thread with the re-texture request.

I have already created the first (partial) version of my game with fpsc, I then got some investors and am now creating the second reiteration much nicer then the first. I am then going to go for the next batch of capital and am hoping to (con)vince the group to part with 200,000 and then I am going to move everything over to xna and C# and then hire a couple professional modelers to advance and recreate everything I have done with fpsc, but only nicer.

After I move on to xna, I am going to give away all of the models, textures, and custom segments to the fpsc community. (we are talking maybe next February - April.

No we don't. Those aren't really soldiers. And even so, there are only three to choose from. I meant more like Modern day US, European, Middle Eastern, and Asian soldiers, that kind of thing

Neck texture is a little solid, but everything else on the texture is good. If you buff out a few scratches (so they say) it should be a good model.
