If the texture is in the same directory as your actual model it technically speaking should appear on the model in game without specifying which one it needs in the configs.

However, if you did'nt specifiy the exact name of the material in the modeler of the texture, you have to specify the texture name in your config file.

Open up your FPE file and find the line where it says: "
textured = " and after the = put the exact name of your texture plus it's filetype.
So it will look like this:
"textured = mytexture.tga"

If your texture is elsewhere than the model directory, you have to specify exactly where it is.
So if your texture is in the texturebank it will look like this instead:
"textured = texturebank\mytextures\mytexture.tga"

Also make sure you always delete your .bin's and .dbo's before you fire up FPSC and build your game so it will always take the latest files.
Does that make sense?

yes, and make sure that you don't delete the .bins and .dbos one by one, there's a dbpro program called fpscreatorcleaner, that will delete all.

I took a look outside, and Nickydude was pointing a pistol at my head.
