I have a .x model with texture and bump map texture,i make de _d.tga and _d.dds file, the _N.tga and _N.dds and the _S.tga and _S.dds files. In the .fpe file i select effect bump.fx or bumpent.fx or bumpbones.fx and the texture file dds or tga.
The bump map effegt don´t work.
I take this model and i put in Dark Basic project and work fine with bump map an light map.
The fx file is the problem?, i test the model in FPSC X9 and the bump map not work.
The user model can not use bump map!!!!!!!?????

coffegrunt, thats not true, they work, how did errant ai then get his bumpmaps to work on his guns,i think the problem is that textures need to be dds,a while ago i saw segments with bumpmaps, entities too so they must work somehow

Current FPSC Projects:
Lion 3D (Wolf3D remake)10% done
Unknown World 25% done

Yes, on guns, there's no way to assign bump maps to an entity via the FPE......

You can get shaders that generate a bump map to use, but that's only really for water and you could only have 1 bump map style then.....

Bump maps/normal maps do work, but only with dynamic and/or immobile entities. You can assign them to an entity with the "effect ="-line.
Normal maps don't work with segments, as they are, like static objects, affected by the lightmapper, and with the way that the lightmapper works, it seems to be quiet a task to make shaders and lm'ing work together.
