Hey there folks! I've been getting better at modeling lately, and I've decided to do some free models for you guys to get some more practice! Keep in mind, I can't do anything insanely complex yet, I'm not an expert. (Though I'm not quite a novice either.)
If you want me to do characters or animals or anything complex, you'll have to give me 3 reference images; one from the top view, one from the left, and one from the front.
I will do up to five orders at once, though it MAY be less, depending on the complexity of the other orders. As I've already said, I'm doing this FOR FREE in order to get better.
Here is a link to some of my recent low-poly work:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=134461&b=3
If you need some models done for free, post here and I'll get to work.
THIS IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS!
If you get your model, and you don't like it, feel free to say so, and I'll modify it to your liking.

If the good lord had intended us to go outside or have a social life, he wouldn't have invented the internet.

Uh, maybe a big sword? like the ones you see in final fantasy. (I`m just randomly making things up today.)

Could you be more specific? There a lot of big swords in Final fantasy, and I've never seen any of the .Hack series.
I'm looking for specific guidelines as to what to make, so I can learn to work with a client, instead of just what I feel like making.

Do you want the first Tsurugi? the buster sword? Ultima weapon?
Specifics, people, specifics!

The buster sword would be a little too easy. Give me something more difficult.

What constitutes a "good" barrel? do you mean higher-poly? Rounder? Larger? Smaller? I've never played Oblivion, so i don't know what that looks like. I'll just assume you meant rounder and higher-poly for now. I'll get to work on that.

Thats 2 orders so far, any more? like I said I'll take up to five at a time.

okay, here's a "good" barrel. Its rounder and higher poly, with a better texture. Its got 1562 polys, though. Is this more what you had in mind?

WTF? the render of the higher poly barrel didn't upload correctly... I'll have to fix that later. I don't have the pic with me, and the computer I'm on doesn't have 3DS max, so I can't do another render.
I'll get that fixed asap.

'kay. Here's the barrel with a lid and a darker texture. Also, adding the lid eliminated the need for the inside polys, so it took the poly count down to 930! YAY!

And the file is attached as a .3ds and a .obj, along with the texture. 3DS can't export .X's, so I cant do that now. If you want, I can get a .X to you tomorrow.

@ Wind27382: I tried the panda X exporter and it doesn't work for some reason. It says that it can't find some kind of file it needs. I downloaded the correct version, I'm sure of that, but it won't work. Its okay though, I just import the .3DS into milkshape whenever I need a .X... which reminds me... I forgot to export the barrel to .x... D'OH!
@tjcoops: Absolutely! those should be fairly easy to do. Do you want that same image to be textured onto the shield? And do you have a target ploy count? They shouldn't be very high, but I figured I'd check just to be sure.
@ Roxas: do you have a target poly count for the .Hack sword?

huh? The link you gave kicked up an error in Firefox. It said "thsi link is redirecting in a way that will never complete" or something. So I scrolled over the link and looked at what it said in the status bar, and typed that into the browser and it came up with a picture of mars...
EDIT: I found thh picture you meant by browsing the sites navigation. That is probably a BIT too advance for me, but I'll give it a try.

Your sword is done except for the texture. I'll have that done by tomorrow, and posted no later than Monday.

I can try, I haven't done much animating yet, but I find it pretty easy. I'm kinda inexperienced, but I think I have what it takes.
