Seems to me that most of the music available is way too overpriced.

I use Acid Pro and loops to create my own soundtracks. At most, I think the music would probably sell better if soundtracks were reduced in price to $1 a pop, kinda like I-tunes.

I know most of the music is at $1 or $1.50, but there are some that are priced at $4 and how can a piece of music be worth more than a Shroudling at $3.75?

If music was set to a uniform cheap price, I think it'll sell better.

That's up to the seller. Everything in the TGC store is already waaay under priced. Realistically, any characters could sell for $20+.

I agree that bond's models are underpriced. SamHH models are overpriced.

SamHH's models are also waaay under priced, so are mine. In the real game dev world, a character (without exclusive rights) costs around $20-$80.

For an actual prop $2-4. For FPSC, what it is priced right now.

Fair enough.

As for SamHH, my above comment might seem a little harsh. Sorry. Not my intention. I've purchased quite a few of his models. I just think that they are the type of toys that you would see at a .99 cent store.

In truth, that's exactly what FPSC is: a toy. It's not really meant to create games to sell. It's something to play with and have fun with.

UPDATE:

I think I'm gonna just stay off this forum. My threads keep getting locked up. I'll continue to use the store, but I tire of my voice being suppressed. I deal with enough stress and severe muscle spasms each day to continue to deal with the people on this forum. I might make suggestions on future beta releases, but that'll be it.

I wouldn't take it too personally. I think it mostly just means the thread has hit a dead end - or that a mod feels like it has nowhere else to go but south. I enjoy these discussions, but it only takes one person to make an inflammatory remark - and then it's done for.

As far as prices, the seller alone decides the price, and buyers can choose whether or not they feel it is worth the price, and then speak with their wallet. It'll sort itself out.

The locking of threads is never a personal matter, there are many reasons and past conduct of users is also taken into consideration.

Just like with models, I can't create my own music. So, if a certain soundbite is going to fit in with my game and it costs as much as $4 I just might purchase it.

Yes, FPSC could be considered a toy but I think it is a little more than that. Sure you probably won't be able to make commercial games that can compete with the big boys; but, that was never its intent. However, a person can come up with some pretty entertaining stuff. I do have a couple of games that are selling locally and I will never try to sell them globally. Too much of a headache. Someday, maybe the TGC store will allow reasonably priced games. However, I'm not sure how they would be able to distribute them.

Back on topic, I'm glad TGC store is selling music.

When you sell through the store you only get 50% commission. Ponder over that one.
