Very nice indeed, is there going to be an interior for the cockpit?
You've always been awesome at planes

Yeah, gonna do a basic cockpit nothing to hjeavy for the poly count, hoping to get animated undercarridge and just rig the flying surfaces for in game animation. All the usual stuff I do. Ive just sorted the mess around the glass and now finishing the engines.

Finished off the engines and added an interior, sorted a minor error on my part on the glass.

Ok, its comming along now, done a basic cockpit and got the undercarridge in place with the airbrakes.
Had a lot of trouble with the undercarridge, this is the third attempt and im not totally satisfied but I can live with it. Just the tail to sort and then the flight controls to do.

By clean I assume you mean not dirty? this will be done at the texturing stage and as this is an aerobatic / display aircraft I am not planning on making too dirty.

All the geometry is finished, unless ive missed something.
The poly count was a little higher than I had hoped for but I think I will make a LOD version as well. currently 4811 polys.
Gonna collect some more reference pictures before I start the texturing.

As requested wire frames.

you could knock few off by combining the top wing at the back,

if you look at the front view of it you can see its quite dense

btw are you using AC3D????

if you are whch i think you are select faces and press c
why am i telling you that?, you defeinatly dont look like a noob to that program

I doubt that would reduce polys. It would at most remove a couple polygons or add a couple of polygons. And to be honest, I don't think it's worth it.

Okay I just noticed something to critique
Wouldn't areas like the ones inside the circles here create quite a few N-Gons because they don't have any supporting edges?

I'm not making up words, N-Gon is a word (Well if you want to call it word) so no, I am not making up words. I might have used it wrong though, I've always just thought of faces with more than 5 sides as N-gons. Whatever, honestly who gives a crap anyways.

Cheers for pointing those out, I had missed them, I would have picked it up before texturing thou.I am aware of a few hidden polys here and there which you cant see from the images, which again I will sort out before releasing.

If there are no other issues them I am pretty happy, onto the texturing tonight then.

No dont use AC3D, Im a Max 6 guy.

Ok Ive corrected the Geometry, got a basic texture in place, done the rigging. Final poly count 4793. What do you think.

Just a few more hours work and it should be done.

Ok, the models is all done now, fuly animated undercarridge and I have corrected some minor mistakes in the texture. I wont post a pic because there really isnt any difference that you would notice to the last one. Its available from the usual places.

Deathead: you could, it just takes a little time and practice,I have been doing this for a few years now, My first models make me cringe when I look at them now.

Just need to some insperation for the next model, I am open to ideas.

I'm not sure if it's possible but since you have done a lot of planes, why not make a hangar ship (Not sure what they're called in English so excuse the probably misspelling) where they can land ? Or just some sort of hangar in general, would be so cool to see your planes in there.

Otherwise you could always model another vehicle, not sure of which, maybe a Jeep (They're cool, admit it ) or something similar.

Or you could always make another plane, but I know crap about planes so I can't help you there
