Okay hello all, I've recently started work on my first real game project called Venator: Plague Hunters. I've been wanting to make this game for a long time, as its based off of a collection of short stories i wrote, and FPSC has given me the means to do so.

The basic premise of the story is that a new disease has swept the planet and infected millions. the infected were originaly rounded up into containment zones, as basic quarintine dictated, but as the disease spread they began to be rounded up and even hunted down out of fear by a military division called the venators. after years of persecution and violence against the infected they decided they couldnt take any more, and in 2010 began their revolt.

You start the game as an IPolice containment officer trying to keep the infected contained in your zone, and soon become recruited by the Venators to help destroy this revolt.

If youd like a much more indepth story I got bored the other night and made a quick webpage (I make them when im bored for some reason) http://venator.freehostia.com or you can just click my sig or my webpage button at the bottom of the post.

The game is still in early development with only 2 levels built so far (and being redesigned a little due to lag issues right now). I have all the levels planned out on paper and a massive amount of story peices written to put in, its just down to making the rest of the levels a reality in FPSC. Im hoping to have a small working demo to have you guys give me feedback on within a week or so, but for now Id love any feedback from pics ill post here and that are also on the website I put up.

So here is the first pic attached (one of my favorites) of the ruins in the first level.

On your website, I noticed you used the thug characters as infected, I know you did a little retexturing but I think using model pack 2/4 zombies would work better for "infected". Or you can try Bond1's zombies of course, they are very well detailed.

Have a penguin:

(that's my way of saying good job so far)

Ya the slightly re-textured thugs are temporary, and I have looked at those models but am unsure if i want to use them. Im not really going for a zombie look, but more of a somewhat mutated human. thats why I went with the veins and darkened/lightened skin patches on the thugs for now. I know how I've described them in my short stories but making that a reality has proved to be some what difficult for me.

And thank you very much for the penquin

thanks, the lighting i havent been sure of. and ya the frame rate ... well right now im using my old laptop because my other comp is getting fixed. so im only getting 15-20 fps on it. and also for some reason when ever i take a pic with Fraps my frame rate drops to around 0 ... havent figured that one out. though i can assure you when i took a quick build to my freinds place it was running between 25-30 fps.
