just a question about making a game. can i use sounds and music from other games and movies or is that illegal? i dont intend to sell my game or make any money from it but i would like to upload it so others can try it. just want to clear this up before i go any further.

Believe me, if I started murdering people… there'd be none of you left...

You can fire off an e-mail to whoever holds the copyright and ask them, stating that's it's going to be free and such. Of course, then they'll turn down your offer...
