I have problems walking on floors in my house I made using 3D World Studio.

I have made the house into a FPS Creator house, but the player gets stuck on the floor at times, and can't move.

There is plenty of space from the roof to the floor.
Can anyone advice?

I sometimes get this, try crouching to get unstuck.

I did that, but that is not the way it is suppose to be.
There has to be a way to make it work.

3DWS map collision is unpredictable once imported into FPSC.

Lee is implementing proper terrain support after the migration which may help to alleviate this but otherwise you'll just need to test and tweak.

The same problem exists when importing Sketchup maps where the player can walk through certain walls.

There doen't appear to be a definitive way to avoid player collisionn issues at the moment unfortunately but to be fair FPSC has never been advertised as supporting imported maps.

Just that I am seeing other buildings with floors which work.
I downloaded one from the store not so long ago.

Okay, but is there not any other 3D Program which works with FPS Creator, when making buildings with floors?

And when is the migration going to happen?

People will be able to find out the meaning of life before they find out when the migration will happen, hahaha.

Basically, no one knows.

Sometimes it helps to avoid this by checking 2 issues in your favourite modelling app:
1. is the floor made of very large polys and very small polys altogether (irregular distributed)?
2. is the shape of the floor polys somewhat extreme, like very long and small?

I tried to cut my floors into the most even spacing and shape possible (try to "tile" it if possible)and avoided very small angles to some success.
If possible construct your house the way that you can use floor segments in FPSCreator which saves you HOURS of fiddling to and fro. It requires some more planning ahead but collision with entities is a nasty business in FPSCreator.

If you want to "escape" while testing just try to crouch and walk that frees you from being stuck most of the time...

I am Jacks complete lack of surprise.

It's also best to keep all entities within the 1x1 segment squares.
It seems to have trouble calculating where the player can walk if an entity stretches as one object across numerous squares.

I made this perfectly round tunnel running along 5x5 squares and my character would always get stuck so I had to cut them up into 5 objects and now the collision is perfect.
