This is the very first model I have ever made. It took about 3 weeks (which included a lot of time learning since I knew absolutely about models, shaders, normal maps, programming....etc).

Which will be used for a game I'm making.

This is the model as it appears in 3D Canvas;

This is the model loaded into DB Pro with normal/bump map;

No way lol. That's too good for your first model ever.

The proportions are off, the arms are at a awkward angle and the body has too little definition, and since you didn't show the underbody too much I can't critique that.

All in all, it's a good first model (Even though I really doubt it is your very first, as I'm sure you did some playing around before you did this one) keep at it and you should do great

LOL. Actually it is the very first. I dove right in doing the complex things first, I didnt want to waste time playing around .... I'm impatient when it comes to things like that.

But I did hit the "undo" button so many times while testing stuff out and learning about the functions .... its what probably took up the most of the time.

The other thing that drove me up the wall was trying to figure out how to get rid of the texture seams.

Alucard: Yeah I'd love to make the body have more definition, but I didnt want to push the poly count up too high (since that model is already at 2100 polys) ..... and I'm still unclear as to how many polys is too much for a game character.

But as time goes by, and as I do more models I'll probably realize this model sucks and end up scrapping and redoing it.
