This is one of those things that is very difficult to do well, but this is about the best I've seen. Very well done. Adding a snow top may provide even more realism, as snow would be more flat anyway.

Thanks for a great segment.

Best.

Yes, thanks. This is going to come in handy for a maze puzzle.

Edit:

OK, so I already had responded. Just having a senior moment here.

Higgins, I always like your stuff, but this one just popped up on my radar and so downloaded and commented. Wasn't specifically looking for a hedge. So thank for the heads-up on your model. Just downloaded it.

BTW, although, you have to purchase them, his cave segments and entities are absolutely great. Two thumbs up.

Thought maybe you all would be interested in seeing a map of my maze using the ivy hedges. Click on view to view the image. It is a jpeg file. It is 15x15. From the top it is simple to solve but I wonder if it will be too difficult in-game?

I noticed one thing. You have to make sure that they are doubled up. In other words the outside of the maze you need to put an extra wall up as it will leak. Sometimes a segment will disappear under certain circumstances. Seems that doubling them up solves the problem. When you create walls within the maze boundaries it automatically creates two hedge walls. To tell the truth I haven't run this yet so I don't know how this is going to effect the fps.

Here ya go punk and yer welcome Little Bill.

Click on thumbnail for a larger view.

This level has just been started. Might change the skybox, also you are seeing this with all high res, dynamic lighting and shaders turned on. Also you can see that this doesn't seem to effect the fps. I'm still getting 38. Also, for anyone interested I am currently using v1.13 beta 5.

Perhaps put in visual clues, like statues, trails of some kind, that sort of thing.

Looks good FL, but I think I would change the ground segment.

Best.

xplosys, the floor (ground) segment came with the hedge as it is a room segment like your treeline. Of course, I could change it. Part of the problem was when I added a wall segment it rotated the floor segment. Then the seam didn't look right with adjacent floor segments.
