Microsoft lately released DX10 for XP. Will FPSC x10 run on XP or definetly not?

And u didnt believe i was russian

No its not just DX10 it needs... there are other files in Vista that it requires...

btw the version of Directx you are referring to is not from Microsoft... Mircosoft has clearly stated they have no interested in making directx 10 for windows XP as they are dropping support for XP altogether in the first quarter of 2009.

and? and they plan to drop Vista support in 2010 fs there comes windows 7. r u sure? anyone tested it? or it is just general truth that everybody knows, but noone has prooved it? Yes when FPSC X10 was created XP did NOT supported XP. Anyway Vista is

You are wrong. MS posts on their product lifecycle page that support for Vista is planned through 2012. And that an extended support plan will be good until 2017. So I wouldn't worry about support.

As for testing and proving, I think most people prefer not to gamble with their money. It's a smart move to go with what the vendor (TGC) says is required, and go with what they support. You're completely free to buy X10, get the source from the Alky Project, or Wine, or whatever the flavor of the month is, and have a go at it!

I'm sure XP supports XP. But it has never, and will never support DirectX 10.

Why do these threads keep popping up?There are been many posts about this (there's even a sticky I made for this).
FPSC x10 doesn't run on XP.End of story.
