Hello fellow forum members, here recently I upgraded to FPSC X10.
I had been really sick with FPSC X9 for a while because it did not
appeal to some of my desires. I'm sure many of you felt the same way and therefor you purchased FPSC X10.

I am wanting to know how many people actually own it (or who can
run the games made) that are members here.
This will help me decide my future project plans for X10 and it might also give others a nice idea of who can play their games.

This is a list for EVERYONE to know who owns it.

If you will, I'll be making a list in this first post.
Please post and specify if you own it and details as follows.

-Would you play a smart designed multiplayer FPSCX10 game?
-What are your genre interests?

THESE DETAILS ONLY HELP ME. IF YOU OWN, PLEASE SAY SO ANYWAY.

Thank You guys

The reason I ask about the multilayer is (along with Dusk)
I want to create some good maps for people to play in MP
games. I wanted to get a good idea of the audience.

My main focus is going to be Dusk... but I've also wanted to pull
some sweet maps off because lets face it, more than half of the
gamers out their want the multiplayer.

Genre Interests: Action/Adventure (Games that make you think ie. I've been playing through the Tomb Raider games and they're quite interesting from a problem-solving point of view)

Has to be quite current, so a modern day setting is always good although not easy to model for as its the age we all live in so there's less room for error.

Multiplayer game? Yes, so long as there isn't too many players to drop the framerate.

ADD MEEEE!!!!! I would play an X10 MP game as long as it doesn't lag so much and I prefer the modern-day, sci-fi and horror genres.

Same, but I've optimized the drive speed and shading process clock to make it faster at 512MB cache with 256MB dedicated

You can add me to that list. I prefer scifi as it always more creativity. I don't like horror as it is hard to do a good horror game. I do not really like mp as much as sp, though.

You know your code sucks when it does what you want before you know what you want.

I own it, and use it, especially when I started to realize that despite its current problems it is ultimately a more efficient engine. Not to mention ragdolls are fun

I'd be using almost just X10 though if Lee would hurry up with DBP x10 and release the X10 source code

I've also got FPSC X10.

I'm not after any FPS genre in particular as long as the visuals are dazzling or if it's well done. I do like sci-fi though...

Though I'm not too big on online gaming for PC, I might play a smartly designed multiplayer game for x10...

Just thinking aloud, a sandbox editor for FPSC X10 would be nice..like the Cryengine 2 or Leadwerks 2.1...instead of waiting 10 minutes for a test level to load....

I own X10 and am toying about with it, but I agree there are a few things that need to be polished with it.

Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, Dual GeForce 8800 GTs, Vista 32bit Home Prem.

I use it, dont use the original anymore.
I wouldn't actualy play the multiplayer though as no one does.
Multiplayer is too lacking, KILL KILL KILL thats all its about, until we have modes such as Capture the flag, team games and other stuff i wont use multiplayer.

I think if you're going to make a game in X10 you should incorporate the storyline into the game. ie Live action events etc. I'm still waiting for X10's features to catch up with the idea for the game I'm wanting to make. (And I'm still waiting for it to accept at least some of the milkshape models I'm trying to put in)

I have taken the plunge today and purchased FPSC X10 so I'll be checking my mail eagerly from this date forward. I prefer action/FPS/RPG games with a great story - Mass Effect, BioShock and GTA IV being a few of my recent favorites.

I tend to play objective-based multiplayer games on my consoles enjoying Halo 3, GoW and GTA IV multiplayer immensely and would be willing to try out some FPSC maps if only to help test or allow a game developer to share/enjoy his creation.

I'd appreciate anyone's feedback on how to make the most out of X10, though I'm a little concerned with the few "not really touching it till it's better" comments. Hopefully, its in pretty good shape these days.

I'd say it's pretty good, once you get the hang of importing media that is. Until you do get the hang of it, it can be rather frustrating... Very nice visuals can be achieved though, if your media is good enough

The only bad thing is that it doesn't seem to be getting much official support...once they're done with X9 I imagine they'll move on to X10. A lot can be done in the meantime...

A most excellent week. X10 arrived Saturday quickly followed on Monday by my new 9800GT graphics card. Rig is running some of the more AI intensive sample games at around 30fps. My test levels with limited AI have been getting 100fps. Sweet.

It's a real chore getting custom media into the engine, but doable and I've found the software to be extremely stable on Vista 64-bit.

'Yeah...I'm gonna' have to ask you to come in on Saturday. That'd be great.'
