Finally getting around to finishing my tank pack. This is a german wespe artillery unit.

3700 polys and 1024 x 1024 texture, with the tracks on a seperate texture to allow easy texture scroll.

Available from the usual places.

Now onto a halftrack

I give up with this banner thing as it never seems to work for me. I will now stop wasting mu time.

Most WWII stuff did look box like, remember that stuff was built during the war and had to be quick about it. I really don't think they had style on their minds.

nice work Frap

That's because it's a tank?

Looking sweet Frap! The only real issue (Which really isn't an issue) I can find is that the texture res for the treadmills needs to be upped a little bit, but heck, it's awesome
And I have a question as well, you put all of these models up on turbosquid right? Do you actually get decent money from it?

Cheers guys.

This tank was a little boxy and to be honest was a little boring to make, However I needed to make it for my upcomming Tank Pack.

Yeah been looking at the track texture myself thinking I should really change it. May do when I get round to finalising the pack.

Never enough, T/Squid charges me 50% for every sale. If I sell a model to an American IP I have to pay a US sales tax of 30% from my share, When I convert the payment into sterling I get charged by paypal. So essentially everyone takes thier share and leaves me with very little.

WTF? That's idiotic, although I guess it proves why there are so many over priced models over at turbosquid.

turbosquid is for Idiots, I would not post an object on that site for anything. Yeah their a popular site and that is exactly why they charge you so much to sell your products. It's like a pair of nike shoes, same material as any other cheap pair that you see on the shelves but because Nike is a big name you pay far more.

Most internet providers provide all consumers with a certain amount of FREE webspace. Maybe you should try an set up your own site and sell through that. you can still get paypal they most likely will still charge a certain amount for their service but atleast your not paying the 50% out that turbosquid charges. and let's face it. if your work is good and cheaply priced, people will find it.

The other thing I would hate about turbosquid is that people are not only looking at your products, but everyone else's too. at least on your own site they will only see your work unless you add others yourself.

Lazerus: That form is a W8-BEN everyone has to fill in one of those no matter what site you publish models on. Fortunatly most sites accept a scanned copy. They will hold your money until they recieve a copy.

Tatts: All content sites charge a percentage for any sale, One of the advantages of Turbosquid is that they will convert the model to any formmat required, protect me from fraudulant sales, provide customer support, provide me with unlimited storage space etc. Yes 50% is very high compared to some other sites that I am on but the fact is they represent almost 75% of my sales.

I have often thought about my own site and due to the amount of time it takes to make game models, the cost of setting up a online shop and the fact I would have to provide customer services and the time it would take to establish the site I have decided to sell through online shops such as Turbosquid and Exchange3D, I dont do too badly out of them.

I like it! With a texture on it would look sweet! What's the current poly count?

I found a youtube vid with the interior it wasn't very clear but managed to get an interior in of sorts. The poly count is currently 4600 but I will get that down before I texture it.
