textures for entities are done in multiples of two, but does it matter what multiple of 2 they are , for example one could have a 1024x1024 texture, but what about, 1088x1088, does it make a difference, you see textures are normally in set sizes in games, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, do they have to keep to these sizes?

No, not multiples of 2, [b]powers of 2[/i].........

I.e. 2 squared=4, 4 squared=16,16 squared=64,etc,etc.....

so it must be even number then, or be able to be divided by 2.
So question still stands what about sizes like 1088x1088 etc.

No, the sizes must be equal to a binary power.

No. Powers of 2
1^2, 2^2, 3^2, 4^2 etc
2x2,4x4,8x8,16x16,32x32,64x64,128x128,256x256,512x512,1024x1024,2048x2048,4096x4096,8192x8192 etc etc

Although don't put anything above 2048 in FPSC otherwise lightmapping will take forever and it'll probably go into meltdown anyway.
