hello all
i've created a box and i want to texture it.
the box is a long box that will be a building in game while using a building texture i have created.

so i applied the texture , and only on one face / side it shows right. but on the other sides , it shows all messed up or upside down, i can use side /face texturing but as writen in the FAQ it will take more memory , now i know in our days thats not a problem , but still i will need to create new textures and the overall is a big messy code with X 4 or X 5 or X 6 images to load.
any idea?

on how to fix that the building texture will show correct on all faces?

i've tired png / dds same thing happens to both.
ty for your time.

Which 3d-modeling program are you using?

I use a program called sketchup pro and I haven't had any problems with textures with it. You should try re-texturing your model in sketchup.

Here's a free trial to it: http://www.soft32.com/download_121640.html

Hope that answers your question.

wait , do you create the models in scetchup then export and load them with the GDK?
or build the objects in GDK and then texturing it after your texture has run in scetchup?

build all your models and texture them in sketchup. when they are final, export them as .X and simply load them in GDK.

You can use .3ds files and jpg files as your textures in gdk. However, .3ds files take a long time to load compared to .x files so eventually you'll need to get a program that can import your 3ds files and export them as .x files.
