What's the deal with the function dbChr()? Why does it have a '$' in the function name in the documentation? I tried using this to display an integer as text but it's not working.

What?

Just use dbStr().

And ignore that. The $ is there because string variable names end with $ in DarkBASIC. They used that to signify the return value is a string.
