I just reinstalled FPSC and installed the version 1.12 update and it says it is the free version and I can't make game .exes. I don't know what to do, I own a valid copy of FPSC. If any could help it would be very appreciated.

Go into your FPSC directory and fix the lines in the userdetails.ini file. That should fix it.

Ok, but it already has my serial code, and when I try to change it and save changes, then it says cannot create file C:/Program files/the game creators/fps creator/ userdetails.ini please check that the file name and location are correct.
Please can someone help me.
I am running Vista and am having this problem.

save it somewhere else and then move and replace the original file

I'm having the same issue. I had a valid copy with serial number and everything, now it's making me pay again. I tried the "userdetails.ini" trick and that didn't do much of anything except waste my time..

Anything else that can be done about it?

I make myself cry sometimes, then I tell myself to suck it up, but I never listen and end up cursing me out.

Ok, I found out how to fix this.
Mod Edit:- You have shown people how to get a pirated serial, you should realise that's a no-no. TGC take piracy very seriously, as do the mods. You have been banned until January so you can think about what you have done.

There is nothing to fear in life... except your mum!!

this is ridiculous, why release such a bloody upgrade? I mean why should we have to pay for/steal back/modify what we've already payed for with an official upgrade once we've installed it

right fixed it, go to that file he told you to go to in the first reply, and just type in your legal serial code and it will work properly!!!

I understand, but people who don't even own FPSC will go search for that and pirate it. Now a bunch of people will be able to get FPSC for free because of some noob. It's bad enough that noobs have bad grammar... Now pirating?
