Ok, so Im making a new enviorment for my game project and Im at the texturing phase.

My textures consist of "building blocks" for a repeating wall texture. My question is(for blender)what would be the best way to
make a square texture building block repeat on a wall as if I subdivided the face to fit the texture and have it repeat on one face
I want to see if there are any alternitives to subdividing(its time consuming and messes up the geometry) and making a texture spacificly for that wall/face of the enviorment(lacks flexability and more work)

thank you

Um, I don't really understand what you mean, but maybe making the texture seamless?

Best.

What I mean is for example:

I want to have 100 copies of my texture on 1 face in an X by X grid pattern

so if its a square it would be 10 by 10

or if its a rectangle it would be say 20x10

If this isnt possible Id just like to know the build way to texture large building models.

thanks

In your UV map of the building, repeat the texture 100 times per face. Do this in the image editing program of your choice.

There should be a tiling option is the place you apply your texture with or the texture options.

On the Texture panel, adjust these settings.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, like they should be.

Venge is right if these textures are just for renders in Blender, but if you want to tile a texture for a game model you'll have to edit the UV coordinates.
