A cool game, when i played it it was at 58fps, how the heck did you manage that? my games at 25fps and i'm trying to get it up. The game looks promising but obviously needs a lot of work, you haven't even done the collisions and bullets yet.

Try to use 16bit modes, or some code are making the game slow... check some codes and try to replace.

if you have a GeForce or Savage4/2000 based card i'd recommend 32-bit modes, much faster than 16 - i'm still yet to understand why

Vegeta Vegeta! I'm surprised you cant figure out why 32-bit is faster than 16!!!

It's cos the card has to work out the colour from a 16-bit value, but with 32 bit, it has the byte values for each pixel already calculated.

It's the same story with Windows, 24-bit colour is the fastest if your card has the memory for it.

though i never did actually think of it that way, the fact of dithering at higher colours and pixel edging (which pro seems to love using) actually increase speed due to its not tabled colours and requires more bytes colour, enlonging the time required...
i dunno though, really looking at it all like that shouldn't be much of a speed difference
