ive managed to make a custom entity its pretty basic but it just shows up as a solid colour even when i place a light next to it how do i make it so that lights afect it

you need a texture, and it must be static

im not to certain how to script so i hav some questions 1. what is a material index an how do i use it 2. waht is all this

It must look like this

But in place textured you must put the name of the texture and the format name

dang it still doesnt work. is there any other reason
also what in fpsc do .BIN files store

If you make a change to the FPE file then you delete the BIN to make sure it gets updated with the newer changes. (FPSC is supposed to update them automatically if a change occurs, but sometimes it doesn't. )


Perhaps your model or FPSC is looking to a different source for the texture than the one you are wanting to give it?

so i should delete the bin file so that fpsc will update it
