ok, what i need is a few things, first im using maya 4.5, and if u are familliar with it you'll know the mel script editor. what i need is a c++ script that exports the files saved in maya 4.5 (.ma, .mb, .obj). i need iot to be save as a new type of file, it holds all the info like the polygons and the frame by frame animations, this will be called model bionary, .mlb, then i need a code(.dll) in dbp than uses this file just like any other file
i need this so that my file canot be stolen. get my drift, so if u think u wana crack at it be my guest.
thnx SWANKY

why would anyone using such and expensive modeller need to know this?
i mean not to be funny but you don't exactly get a $6,999 modeling package and use it with a language like this - unless you already understand what your doing in C++ with it.
also why don't you use the SDK? it kinda confusing, i mean all the information you need is on the CD

and more help and you'd be far better off in the Alias forums as theyc an help you better.
