As part of my fund raising to buy art assets for a game Im working on, Im looking to sell some of my fpsc items to make some money, Ive got a whole bunch of skins all of them for the bikini girl from fpsc model pack 4.

Here is an example of the quality.

Ill dig some more of them out that are for sale, and post some images.

Whats the going price for a skin like this. What do people buy these for so I know what to sell them off at.

You've done something unmentionable to Aiko.
Good retexture, but colonel X would have looked better

Bond knows how to build a lady! Bikini and high heels!

I do like the reskin (excutioner). As a excutioner she would need a mask but I think it would look better without!
Plus a female excutioner in high heels!!!

Im not sure he knoews how to build one so padding on lightmaps work, cannot get rid of seams on it choose what, not sure if its the model or my settings, I wouldnt mind Bonds .max file that he uses for a light map, could be my settings, I never do lightmaps as todays games dont need any lighting baking in as the engine does it all, but fpsc doesnt light the model well, so they need a lightmap. Im having to make a plain lightmap, without the defuse, and take that info deep paint and paint out the seams, them overlay that over the defuse in PS as an overlay. Very annoying. I think the problem is trying to make lightmaps from .x files, I think they dont hold certain data, and the smoothing gets messed up, so one need the original files. Anyway, I hand painted out all the errors.

...this was a very early effort of bond1.

He has has honed his skills considerably since Model Pack 4. I assure you, he most definitely knows how to properly build models, at this present time...

I think its because its an .x file, and the smoothing groups get wasted, Ive no idea, I never normaly have to make a lightmap, the engine normally does that, but it wont have it period, so Im having to painstakingly paint the lightmaps seams out and correct all the anomallies.

I've found that any .x converted to say, .3ds have smoothing groups hosed completely and when exporting to .x there is the appearance of smoothing groups but it's not always what I've specified when modeling. It's more of an angle tolerance sort of thing or how the UV map is laid out (orientation of mesh bits). Additionally, depending on export setting, panda can actually break verts and give a totally faceted looking model. Can't you reapply smoothing groups for purposes of baking lighting? Or do you mean you're tweaking the map based on how it appears in-game? If there is any shader applied it drastically changes how smoothing looks, in my experience.

I admire your commitment to retexturing this mesh. I have a love/hate relationship with these older low poly (stock, MP1, MP4) models... Love them because they have minimal mesh details for specific clothing so they are very inviting to retexture but hate them because their low poly nature usually results in iffy deformation when ingame and running any of the combat poses. Do you find on this model that there is a UV map issue where part of the hair is mapped to the hand (like the thumb or something? can't remember off-hand). I did a retexture with red hair and it looked like the poor gal had a wood shop accident so I ended up giving her red gloves LOL

Best of luck on these. I'm thinking of buying your #1 skybox set. There are only two or three I want but the forest and dark planet look brilliant.

I answered your post in full Errant AI, but the web just decided to delete it while I was finishing, and I didnt want to write it out again, so my answer is lost in web cyberspace, on skyboxes, if you want them, be quick, on the 3rd of October, Im pulling them down forever.

Pretty cool, though I agree with X games, she might look better without a mask. Are you planning on putting any of these on the TGC store? Either way I'll probably be interested.

I got into that when I made the reply to Errant AI, that got deleted, Im going to remove the mask and have a woman with a berret on her head, I think the style will go with the guns packs that Errant AI did, the style of her is similar, Ill be doing a run of military type skins, so it will be with that lot.
Ill get the first skin up on Sunday, they wont be going in the store, as you have to have so many sales before you can get the money, or close the account, so Id have to make an account, then close the account to get the money from the sales, I'm only bringing these out to support my none fpsc game and buy the art assets in I want, non fpsc packs are more expensive than fpsc packs, and they complain about costs for fpsc items, its quite funny really, fpsc users are too spoilt by far.

On the plainness of the mesh, what I like about the old school meshes, is that you can skin anything, the bikini girl could be absolutely anything, so a lot of leeway, I think normal maps have killed skinning quite a lot, with normal mapped models to alter it you have to re do the normal map, if one is doing that, then really one can use low poly meshes and re normal map them, load them into mudbox or whatever, and work into it, I'm using the low poly models from fpsc and using them for my (none fpsc) fancy pants next gen engine with all its shaders and bling, I'm not bothered they are low poly, a good skin does wonders, and later on I can always do a normal map for them, get the basics in first, get it running, then later you can polish it.
