I currently plan on making a model pack containing some
first person weapons like a wrench (see attached picture), a hammer, a pitchfork and so on.
Unfortunately I'm not quite sure about the poly count they should have in the end.. There are lots of threads about this already but in none of them I found a convincing answer. As I tend to leave out detail rather than raising the poly count I'd like to have a more definitive limit..
So my question is: What poly count would you aim for? How many polygons would be suitable for FPSCreator, DarkBasic, FPSCreator X10 and other engines/programs (I would then make various versions of the model; highpoly, midpoly, lowpoly and so on)?
I hope someone is willing to enlighten me.
