I want to know if it's possible to have the visibility upgrades of weapons/armor, I don't want to have to recreate a whole new model for 1 piece of equipment, I'm having a learning curve on how to approach this.

You can just import your model(main one) then model around the model(not so its apart of the mesh) then rig it, with the same armature then you have a fully successfull armour rig.

Any games that do this idea with this piece of software?

Also your character would clip through the armor?
