DarkBASIC Discussion / I bought Dark Basic Classic and it won't work...help me?

Ok, so, as you read, I bought it and just installed it and now it doesn't work...
Everytime I click on it it says:
"This application has failed to start because d3drm.dll was not found. Re-instlling the application may fix the problem."
I re-installed it...and it didn't work! =(
I have Vista...so yeah...someone please, please help me.
I am really interested in learning code for games, so I don't want my first try to end in failure because I couldn't even get the program to work.

Just google search the file. it is in several places. then you copy it into c:\windows\system32

That should work for you, it did for me.

Ever notice how in Microsoft word, the word "microsoft" is auto corrected to be "Microsoft" but "macintosh" just gets the dumb red underline?

I had this problem. The game creators have a fix that you can download. You need to upgrade it.

once darbasic 1.2 is installed you can remove the dll
that problem was because vista's directx(10) doesnt have this dll and the old version of darkbasic want it
also you must upgrade to darkbasic 1.2 in order to make games for vista without distributing the dll or you can use an older version of darkbasic and include the dll in your game folder when you want your game to run on a vista machine
