and by FPSC ready I mean I need to texture, animate, and maybe add some hands if I can figure out how to with google sketchup

I dont know how to texture, I need to look up some tutorials... I really have everything left to do

-edit-

il upload a pic of gun w/ silencer later

-edit again- I might just retry the pistol completley over, I dont like the cornery-ness on the bottom of the barrel

You would be better of using wings3d for what you are doing, Su is more for buildings, also you want a single UV map, SU uses face mapping so you will end up with lots of texture files.

Yea... I'mm gonna try Wings3d, see how that works, SU is nice, but not very flexible... I'll post the results.... If only I could use autodesk....

You're definitely off to a good start. I noticed you modeled every spike on the knife's edge. That's gonna be a little hi-poly for game use. You should model the edge flat then add the ridges with a texture w/ alpha channel for transparency. Other than that it's pretty good for a start.

hmmm, thats a good thought Andrew, I like it... As for wings... I hate it :p to me it seems much less flexible than SU...I'm conna remodel the knife, see If I can fix that little random broken bit

To be honest I'm not a very big fan of Wings either, I use Blender. It's a little difficult to get the hang of, but it really pays off.
