This thread is dedicated to all my modelling. Can a mod please remove my other 2 threads in this section, thx.

Current Modelling project:

WW2 scenery:
Segments
Bridge (1x concrete and 1x wooden)
Bunker
Explosion pit
Entities
Rubble (5 variations)
Landing Craft (1 broken and 1 fine)
Turret
D-Day Bunker
Barrier
Decals
Bird
Explosion
Smoke

Plz give me rating on objects, i will post more screens soon, for now, here is the dday bunker. It has an interior and is in scale for fpsc, i used the 254cm thingy to scale it. I will post screen of in FPSC soon. This will be free to display detail or my creations.

How much could i sell this pack for? I am really making this for my game and i am going to share some of these models for non commercial use only, for commercial, you need my special permission and my coded file. (also suggestion for TGC)

thx

Thats a temporary texture and also stock! By the way, thats not low poly. It will be bump mapped and have new textures at a higher res.

Looks fine to me, though you do need to look at references. A Bunker(Considering you are going for the WW2 one) is more rounded at the edges on the front. So its like a D not a []

then your doing something realy weird in the back of that bunker, because i cant imagine that being more that 100 poly.

It has interior. So you go in mid way up in the back where there is a room, to right there is a door, go through, around the corner is a shaft (put a ladder in there) and up it there is another large room, go right there, you're in a storage room, now go up the stairs and you're in the top.

There is a walkthrough description.

At least 100 poly, but ill chech on the weekend (when i get my laptop back.)

and my gaming pc's 6800GT works again. thats normal for my graphics cards, i had a 8800 but it litrally caught fire in my pc befor it started.

thx

Depends on what your using it for , fps's can have 2k polys for a gun and it be Low Poly, whereas on a mmo a gun should be no more than 200-300 polys as it takes up minimum pixels and is barely seen.

Low Poly is a very very un precise term

I don't know... But you should give that bunker away for free... That's really easy to make in sketch up.

Actually, if you use the correct scale, you can get a model into FPSC, i use 254cm = 1 segment. Thats how i made this model. thx

Be nice, i happen to think the model is great, and very useful, and 100 points would be practically a gift.

Thanks Gamerdude

Not exactly. As many people you seem to jump onto the train way too quickly, learn to walk before you run, practice modeling a bit more and don't start selling whatever comes out of your mind, you need practice.

That's what I was thinking. I think these are called pill boxes for a reason =]

I doubt youre going to be selling that... its quite a simple model. The texture is basic and the same all over, no dirt or rough ups near the bottom, no signs, no cracks... bullet marks... anything really. And Ive yet to see this bump mapped version. To be honest the interior looks pretty basic too, just a split room and a doorway.

contary to popular belief pillar boxes arnt square or a single 'node they have emmense strutural mazes underground, which can span for miles, i know i explore the ones in liverpool , escpecially thoses close to burbo bank, most of them have caved in but am slowly makinng my way deeper into them.

hell ill post a few pics for reference next time i go

actually, that entire system is called a bunker. a pill box is indeed just one node where there could be machine guns, artillery, ect.

and just about all pill boxes had smooth outsides so that there were no obvious weaknesses.

I've never had any problem with any Acer product, i think (as the old saying goes) the problem lies between the keyboard and chair.
