Hi.

I have recently discoverd a few programs that can allow for make of easy models, but this is only assuming that you can make a model in Milkshape.
This is my first tutorial, so please give me feedback on if it is good or bad, and report spelling/link errors if need be.
Thanks.

(Note: My Texturing Is pretty bad Quality.. I was in a rush:p)

Thanks for taking the time to make the tutorial; a few pointers for you:

- Your title indicates (in the .PDF) that you will be discussing how to make a model as well; which you don't.

- When you create a UV Map; you want to have the least amount of space go unused, as possible. This will help with the resolution of your map/texture (instead of appearing blurry, your texture will be sharper).

- If you're making static models for your own game, you can omit the bottoms from many objects and save polys (though I often include bottoms with objects I make for free distribution, as I'm not sure if people will have them tipped over in a scene).

Other than that, it was a good tutorial. Please post that final screenshot in this thread.

-Keith

Great tut for beginners, however, the UV map could be better, I really don't know how other people do this, but I just scale everything to as big as possible, so I get the highest res.

zomg i luvz u! lol

but really great tut, now i can finally start texturing my models

but i agree with Keith, you might want to put in there, for people to resize the parts of the uvmap to make them bigger.

Benny Boy 2321,

Good basics and it should help a few people get models into FPSC. But as already has been said, I would put more time into the UV layout, and explain how to re-size/position the model elements in the image to get the best results.

Best.
