I want to try to create a dll that can provide me some basic information about animation files I load into DBPro. I wanted to make a function that got the number of frames of animation 1 but I would need to have the "handle" to tell the function what animation to get the data from. How would I get this?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

DBPro doesn't provide any helper functions in the DBProAnimationDebug.dll to allow you to do that.

So does this mean it's not currently possible?

Edit:
And by no helper functions I assume you mean no functions to return the pointer of an animation file or somthing like that? Do other dlls like DBProBasic3DDebug contain these sort of functions(for there respective sections)?

Yes, you can use a program called 'dllviewer' to browse the functions in a dll, and see if there are any which provide access to the internal data. The sprite dll also provides none of these functions, which is why nobody has written plugins to enhance it, only to replace it.

edit :

Try this program it uses the matrix utils but i`m sure everyone has them by now.

Included is some header info and i just read them with the file commands.
