do you mean seperate faces? such as the top part of the head then yes, you can,

grow the hair, in modifiers, attenuate,(shorten by a set degree) and pop regrow, the hair should regrow on the selected squares

I'm going to have to modify the competition a little bit sorry. We obviously cannot have adult content on this forum.
