Since I had Truespace installed on my computer doing nothing, I decided to, instead of leaving it on my decomposing hard drive, actually use it. Now it is my first time modeling and I am rather impressed with what I have done for a beginner. Pics:

Power Core:

Platform:

Destroyer (A bit risky, I haven't tried it in FPSC yet, looks a bit high poly :/):

Please comment on how they are I will probably post in some in-game screenies hopefully

NOTE: Power Core and Platform work in FPSC with a slight performance decrease with 2 or more Power Cores in 1 room. I haven't tested Destroyer yet.

I might even consider putting these into the store if I can texture them right.

Models I may design:

Weapons:
-Devastation Ray
-Destruction Beam

Scenery:
-Power Core
-Platform
-Destroyer
-Alien Tower
-Impaling Tower
-ALien Spike [Pics uploaded soon]

The inside of the power core looks a little iffy, but the rest of the model looks great. The Platform would be a great substitution for the antigrav platform. Great job on your first models, FCV!

Gunn3r,

The Power Core inside was designed to have a lifting of metal panes to make it look like it may hold a power orb etc. Thanks for the comment though List of models I may do will be listed at the 1st post.

EDIT - Whoops, I swear you were Airslide >.<

NOTE: Destroyer works fine with a small performance decrease on a 1GB RAM PC running 8400 GS 512mb DX10 with FPS 37>26

in 3d chat you dont need in game screenys... or was this moved?

well, they are good for a beginner, but from what i can see they are a bunch of primitives smashed together

the power core looks like your best model, but the middle has screwed up and overlapping polys.

Why not make a new post in the FPSC section once you have some screenies?

This section is good for when you want some tips or feedback when still working on models.

I think the polycount may be a bit high, especially on the destroyer - perhaps making a lower poly version and adding a normal map for detail would be better for performance. Even if you don't find any problems right away, when you have everything else in your FPSC game you might feel differently. Pretty good start though, better than most peoples first attempts.

Ok then, I will post the screens in a new post on FPSC. Also, may I add you on LIVE?

I think it was FragMotion rendering it to look like it had more polys. Besides, I zoomed out of it quite a bit. Whilst in FPSC, if you go near the destroyer, you can easily tell that there are polygons, but as you said, there may be too much on it .
