I've been having this problem and not sure what's the cause. Does this happens if you don't clear your used memories like arrays/images or such?

The code I'm testing does not store any images or use bitmaps, but I do have an array. After running it about 10 times or so the screen flashes white and kicks me out.

I believe testing too often without long enough pauses causes it to crash. Save it before testing if you've coded alot I recommend, or if you don't want to overwrite the file, create a new file, strictly for testing. There seems no way around crashing.

It has nothing to do with clearing memory as far as I know. Simple programs that draw stuff onto the screen do this too.

Yeah, I have experienced that too, you have to wait a few seconds before RE-running the program.

A practice I have developed after losing countless lines of code to system crashes is for every test, press, in this order, F3,F4,F5. That will save it, compile it, then run it, so you NEVER lose anything when you run it.

Ever notice how in Microsoft word, the word "microsoft" is auto corrected to be "Microsoft" but "macintosh" just gets the dumb red underline?

Ok, that's good to know and I too have lost codes, but I have a habit of saving frequently so not too much is lost, but it's still hard to remember what little variables I changed lol.

I obtained that habit after some long, not difficult, code was lost.

As soon as I started using Dark Edit, it never happened again... Also, it`s much easier to use Dark Edit, you have a better view, you can scroll with the mouse scroll button, the text is coloured, so you see if you typed a command correctly...

Anyway, I think the built in editor s*cks. <--- (Are you allowed to use that?)
