Well, it's kinda strange that all my question threads are about shaders, but i really love them... anyway, i would like know two things, guys:

1) Is it possible to apply shaders to segments? I edited the FPS files (lines effect0 and so on) to use the shaders. The shaders worked with entities, but didn't with segments. Am i missing something?

2) Full screen shaders are possible with Ply's Mod or EFX? If so, there are any special requirements or requirements when writing those shaders?

Thanks again for the attention.

Yes shaders can be applied to segments, but only one segment surface (e.g. a floor). This can be done by adding the cubereflectalpha.fx shader to the .fpe

Not sure about the mods as I don't use them, but I hear efx does not support full screen shaders

Can i add a shader to both wall/floor? Or just floors, as you said?

As far as i know you can only apply it to one surface, so not both

Sorry, that's not correct.
efxMod is the only Mod using full screen shaders.
Ply's Mod does not support them.

efxMod is not available at the moment. More information on the efxMod Homepage.

S4Mod, though, supports water shading (just refractions, if I'm informed correctly). In my opinion, this can't be counted as "full screen shader".

efxMod supports Bloom Shading, Motion Blur and there were inofficial non-public versions with Depth of Field, (S)HSL Shading, Sharpening Effects and stuff like that.

And by the way, those full-screen shaders have to be hardcoded into the sourcecode, so no chance for a non-DBP user to integrate those shaders.

You can add shaders to segments, but it causes awful glitching once you lightmap then...

I don't want fancy effects on my walls/floors, i just want some simple stuff, like translucent/transparent shader.
